How NoCut.ng works
Don't guess. Take position. Here's exactly how staking, payouts, and settlement work — no fine print.
What is NoCut.ng?
NoCut.ng is a Nigerian-built platform where you take a position — YES or NO — on the outcome of real events across football, politics, finance, and entertainment. Every market has a Fixed Reward Pool (FRP): a set naira amount, published before the market opens, that gets shared among everyone who backed the winning side. It's knowledge-based investing — there's no house working against you, just a transparent pool and your own judgement.
How the pool works
Every market has a reward pool (R) that's always set below the amount the platform expects to be staked in total (T) — usually around 80–85%. The difference between what's staked and what's paid out is the platform's margin, and it's locked in the moment the market closes, regardless of which side wins.
A market closes automatically the instant total stakes reach the reward pool, or on its scheduled closing date — whichever comes first. Once closed, no more positions can be taken, and the market awaits resolution.
The payout formula
When the market settles, the reward pool is split among winners in proportion to what each person staked on the winning side:
This is why the expected payout shown before you stake always decreases slightly as more people join your side — it's a live preview of how the pool would currently split, not a fixed price.
Example walkthrough
Say a market has a ₦1,000,000 reward pool. See how your expected payout changes as the crowd fills each side.
Try it yourself
This example uses a fixed ₦1,000,000.00 reward pool. Drag the sliders to see how the crowd's positions change your payout.
If you stake YES and it wins
₦24,390.24
If you stake NO and it wins
₦32,258.06
Payout shrinks as more people join the side you back — the earlier you stake, the more you stand to earn.
